Hiking aficionados can discover 340 km of trails around Maria Alm. The hiking network has even been awarded Austria's hiking seal of quality. If you consider yourself a pro, try your hand at the 74 km Königsweg. We'll make sure your bed is ready for you.
Trail Running
On the Hochkönigman´s trail
The Hochkönig region, with its many trails and open spaces, is perfect for trail running. The highlight is of course the Hochkönig itself, at just under 3,000 metres. That's why the Hochkönigman race draws the most experienced trail runners. And the SEPP is of course the ideal base camp.
Golfing

Golfers are in for a treat as they tee off against the impressive backdrop of the Steinernes Meer. The 18-hole Urslautal course offers challenges for every handicap. For even more golfing, there are plenty of other courses to choose from within an hour's drive.
Skiing & Snowboarding
Boards and big sky
Skiing and snowboarding on the Hochkönig is about as free as you can feel. The region has 120 km of runs just waiting for you. The downhill runs offer ideal conditions and undisturbed deep snow slopes. Modern lifts will take you to the top all day long. A stop for a drink at tom Almhütte is a must.

The Hochkönig region shimmers under a sparkling blanket of snow. The possibilities off the slopes are just as brilliant. For visitors who want to experience the magic of winter, the region offers 85 km of marked winter hiking trails, toboggan runs and ski tours for a natural high in deep snow.

The landscape surrounding Maria Alm is the perfect place to savour winter. The cross-country ski trails are seemingly endless. Try out ice stock sport, a cousin of curling and perfect way to enjoy the company of others, or practice your pirouettes on the ice skating rink. Finish off the perfect winter day with a game of geocaching or a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
