I consider it a privilege to be your host together with my family. What I want to show my son is that there is always room for family, even in stressful times, that we should be grateful for what we have, and - most importantly - that members of a family stick up for one another!
How I got my two boys
Sepp and I knew each other long before we fell in love, and even at the time I thought to myself: what a creative, energetic guy, always in a good mood - truly exSEPPtional!
My passion and my career at the time was the Steinbock Alm in Hinterthal. I worked very hard, and was all the more pleased when Sepp would strap on his touring skis in the middle of the night to come and visit me... Anyway, that‘s how it all began! And it soon turned out that we had a similar outlook on life. I love thinking up and implementing new ideas with him. His creativity knows no bounds, and sometimes I have to bring him back to earth, which is probably no bad thing! Much as we love our home, we are also keen travellers, always eager to absorb new cultures, architectures and landscapes, and we always bring back new ideas from our trips.
Our biggest wish became reality on 1 January 2018, when baby Sepp, the 4th generation of the Eder family, was born. He has turned our life upside down and added a wonderful dimension to it. Right now, I am first and foremost a mother, and I am enjoying it to the full. If I am honest, I completely underestimated the amount of work that comes with having a family! But whenever I have a free moment, or when Oma Gerti & Opa Karli or Oma Trude step in, I help out in the business in any way I can. We want our hotel to emanate a sense of genuine hospitality, and that is a priority for me. It‘s the little things that make all the difference - a friendly “Grüß Gott“, a warm smile. I also have a passion for herbs, and my training in this field makes me appreciate the precious gifts that nature holds in store for us even more. I put my heart and soul into turning the herbs of our region into salts, tinctures, ointments and much more. Our guests are welcome to see for themselves how herbs can enhance their cooking, or join me on an herb-themed hike or workshop.
